Created chars have no story, no specific motivations, they go with the flow. Playing as one of the written characters adds a serious layer of depth. Everything I say should be taken with a grain of IMHO, based on several playthroughs, and even one 4-player coop. Still, I hope this piece of advice will be of service. I'm late for the party, because trending recommendations. I'm not sure if combat plays out like other games but I've always found two heavy casters with one being mobile and one static and two people that hit things with one being a dps and one being more tanky is a good mix. I'm probably going to go for some form of warmagic type build myself, so basically a battlemage that doesn't hit things but moves around tactically messing stuff up. you reckon those two will be a super fun time? So that will give me wizard, rogue and battlemage on the first one with none of the story overlaps or lizard/elf hate, and enchanter, wayfarer and fighter on number two, two guys and a gal on each so no sausage parties. Thanks for this, so looking at this and what others have said, and with one eye on the different default classes of each and wanting to split the party so I have a mix of abilities, I figure on the first playthrough I will go Fane (for the story beats on first run), Sebille (because of no wonky overlap with Ifan) and Beast (because he has a big beard and my current D&D character is a Half-Dwarf sorcerer with a hammer). Larian themselves have said that there are major storybeats that you miss if you don't have him. What I do suggest is picking Fane in some form. playing as a companion is a largely different experience as well. I'd pick the ones that stick with you as personalities, as playing through their eyes vs. Is it good to see how it clashes, as in a sense was intended as the game was originally meant as "competetive" among the party, or pick something different so you can have fulfil their needs more purely? I certainly don't know. For example, some characters like Ifan and Sebille have many of the same goals but they just want it to end differently. If and when you find it to be as great as many of us, then play a second time.īut about best combinations, I'm not sure if there are those. Vendor Prices, Bartering & Attitude Formulaĭivinity 2 is one of my favorite games ever, and the best local co-op experience ever, and still I find it funny that you've already decided on two playthroughs :D Yes, it definitely is worth it, we found so much more on our second try but I'd say just go in and enjoy it. ![]() Level Up: Attribute, Skill & Talent Point Breakdown ![]() The Quick Questions and Looking for Group Threads exist for a reason, use them. >!This is spoilery!< to get This is spoilery Submissions should relate to Divinity Original Sin or other works of Larian Studios.ĭo not put spoilers in the title of your post and mark your posts.
